Community Garden Membership
$50 per year.
Garden dues help us cover administrative expenses including liability insurance for the garden, a post office box, our website URL, registering with Sunbiz, and misc. We also use it to buy garden supplies (seeds, horse manure, tools) when necessary.
We garden collectively. Member gardeners enjoy access to a share of each of the crops harvested both seasons within one year. At least 20 hours of garden participation is required each season (2 seasons per year) – we garden year-round.
Stop by the garden on Saturday mornings to bring your membership dues and to sign any forms you might need to sign. If you already have a membership and are ready to renew, please send in your checks or money orders.
Thank you for all you do for this garden and this community! You are what makes it a great place to live!
Wonderful idea! Been living in Seminole Heights for years never knowing we had a community garden. I am handicapped so don’t know what I can do to help out. I do have a yard full of leaves to donate for composting.
Hi Jon,
We find that everyone can do something at the garden so we’ll figure something out. Please feel free to stop by on a Saturday morning between 9am-11am and find out more!
Hi! We are newer to gardening in FL, moved here about a year ago from CO. We would love to be involved with this community garden, as we loved ours in Denver. Is now a good time to join in, is there a better time around planting season, etc?! Thanks and look forward to knowing more.
Hello! It’s always a good time to join the garden as we always have something going on. We work year ’round, though fewer hours in August when it’s so hot. We tend to be in the garden most Saturdays from 9am-11am and we’d be happy to show you around. We look forward to meeting you soon!
Are the shares divided between the total number of members!
We share the harvest with any volunteers that are present and would like food. Please visit us on a Saturday morning and we’ll be happy to give you a tour and answer any questions.
