We’re mixing things up this month and meeting 6:30pm on Tuesday April 16th at 7venth Sun Brewery. Grab a cool refreshing beverage and join us as we plan our upcoming Earth Day Birthday on April 20th and Art in the Garden on April 27th. We’ll probably discuss gardening as well!
We’re holding this month’s meeting at The Wine Bar Cafe, at 6428 North Florida Avenue. The meeting starts at 6:30pm, but get there a little early because we’re told that the cafe is planning a free wine and cheese tasting on Tuesday.
Please attend our next planning meeting, starting at 6:30 pm. With our new garden site, there’s so much to talk about. This month, we’re hosting our meeting at that at the 7venth Sun Brewery (6809 N Nebraska Avenue, just north of the Mermaid Tavern and south of Sligh).
USF Student volunteers joined us at the garden on Saturday and helped us work on cleaning up the space after summer. It was a fantastic group and they were a huge help! Thank you!
Our August planning meeting will be at 6:30pm Monday, August 21st at the Seminole Heights branch of the library, located at the SE corner of Central Avenue and Osborne. Come in from the heat and join us!
Join us 6:30pm on Monday, July 17th for this month’s meeting at c.1949! It’s time for a lighthearted break from our usual monthly garden planning meetings so our next one will be more of a social event. We’ll be kicking back at the beer garden c. 1949 west of the Lowry Park Zoo (address is 6905 N. Orleans Avenue, but you’ll see their sign on Sligh).
There’s beer of course, but also wine, snacks and usually a food truck; in other words a little something for everyone. Plus a good time for anyone who joins us. Let’s talk about what we should be planting in the fall, and then just let things roll casually and informally.
We’ve planted dozens of okra plants to take us through the summer. We’ve even harvested a couple of okra! And so it begins…
Join us for our May planning meeting at 6:30pm on Monday, May 15th. We meet at the Seminole Heights Branch Library located at the corner of Osborne and Central. This month we’ll likely discuss fundraising for the garden, and we’re open to hearing ideas both new and tried-and-true. So please join us Monday to share your thoughts! Everyone is welcome!
