It’s actually pretty amazing how much we’ve accomplished at our new location in less than a year. There is still much to do, but one of the biggest projects on our wish list just got checked off with the recent installation of four faucet heads (nay, water stations!) strategically placed across the garden property.
They’re connected to a well, maintaining the distinction for us of operating sustainably off the city grid. And now suddenly, raising a flourishing garden of organic fruits and vegetables has never been easier.
We wish to recognize garden members Lynelle and Tony for all their planning and project management; and lots of other garden members assisted as well.
We also share our heartfelt gratitude for the generous grant support from the Davis Islands Garden Club ($1000) and the Hillsborough Soil & Water Conservation District Challenge ($600 for labor) which funded the handiwork of a licensed plumbing team and the necessary materials. Thank you, thank you!
